Fit to Be Tied: Marshals, Book 2

Deputy US Marshals Miro Jones and Ian Doyle are now partners on and off the job: Miro's calm professionalism provides an ideal balance to Ian's passion and quick temper. In a job where one misstep can be the difference between life and death, trust means everything. But every relationship has growing pains, and sometimes Miro stews about where he stands with his fiery lover. Could the heartstrings that so recently tied them together be in danger of unraveling?

Those new bonds are constantly challenged by family intrusions, well-intentioned friends, their personal insecurities, and their dangerous careers - including a trial by fire when an old case of Miro's comes back to haunt them. It might just be enough to make Ian rethink his decision to let himself be tied down, and Miro can only hope the links they've forged will be strong enough to hold.

*Maybe Mild Spoilers*sigh.... I started reading this at 4 this morning..... I effing love Miro and Ian... I tried to read this as slowly as I could until it was over, it was all good until we hit the 60% or so, it was all feelin good and loving these two back together... my heart breaks for them when Ian gets deployed, how hard they take it and how much they miss each other while he's away, I can't imagine what it's like for either of them and it makes you appreciate the people who do it in real life every day for who knows how long at a time, some never coming home, the not knowing and the waiting.... it's torture I'm positive..... I love how it's portrayed in their story, this one and the first one... really makes you feel it.I didn't read the reviews or any comments about this one other than the blurb, this was one I had pre-ordered from the day I heard about it months ago, so it was a no brainer for me, I was gonna buy it, read it and love so imagine my surprise when Harley of all people come back into the story and the things he does to Miro.... WOW, didn't see that coming at all, however, the cop that Miro had a previous relationship with... I totally called that, and it makes me wonder about, if there's a next book, if Oliver might be a bad guy, he totally has potential and Sam Kage really ticked him off in this one....Let's have a brief moment to appreciate Sam Kage shall we? I don't care where he shows up, what he does or anything, he'll forever be my favorite in any book in any series at any time....Okay, moving on.... the rough part was, after my heart rate went back to normal and I thought all was good we have another crisis and I about expired again! I wasn't ready for it, perhaps I should have prepared more lol but overall, it really made this book that much more awesome. I really hope we get to see these two get married sometime soon. They deserve it...I'm actually looking forward to re-reading this one as soon as I can. I'm completely in love with these two. (and chickey)And let us not forget the end, where Ian finally tops.... shew, it was worth the read just for that alone! If I could give this one 5 stars I so would... this was so much better than I expected and I can't wait for more!

Spoiler alert. I loved the first book and have read it more than once. I love Moro and I love him and Ian together. I am not sure about how believable some of the stuff they go through in the field is. But I enjoy it none-the-less, and the sex is so very hot. However, this book just didn't measure up. Torture and extreme violence in between sex scenes does not do it for me. Action, and a story line are great, but this was just too much.

The second book for Miro and Ian is just as good as the first. Miro and Ian are now partners in work and in bed. I just love this couple so much, definitely right up the alley along my favorites with the like of Ty and Zane. In fact, I might like this series more because of the right amount of humor mixed with suspense and the emotional angst is lesser. We still only have Miro's POV, so I'm very curious about what is Ian thinking all the time. This man isn't really vocal unless is to voice out his displeasure, but Miro had a way to dig out everything from Ian's mind. These men can really fight and they argue all the time, which usually will frustrate me to no end, but in this case, we knew all the fights they are having is because they love each other desperately. With the kind of work environment they are living in, is no surprise that adrenaline and emotion run high. This time around, Miro and Ian have to move out of state to avoid a certain psychopath and they both went for undercover op, which is interesting. I'm apprehensive towards the possible torture scene that was alluded, but honestly, it isn't graphic, so don't worry too much. However, I still hurts for Miro because I love him so. Who doesn't love those hurt/comfort scene, especially between Miro and Ian. I'm sorry Miro got torture, but I like how everything pans out.

4.5 StarsThis one was quite the ride! Though the first half of the book was easy going, made us see how 6 month after the ending of the previous installment our couple are getting used to being not only best friends and work partners but also lovers. Things are doing well enough even though Miro wants more than Ian feels he can offer. Yet things take a HUGE turn when Miro's life is in danger. In the first book in the series we've briefly met Dr. Craig Hartley. When Miro was in the police force he was the one who got him arrested but also saved his life (while sustaining a stab wound from said Dr. Hartley..). Somehow the psychopathic Dr. Hartley is fascinated by Miro and though he wants to do "good" by him and keep his company (asking he visits him in jail twice a year) he also doesn't have any problem admitting he also wants to kill him. When Hartley escapes prison Miro's life is in danger! His boss finds him and Ian a place to "hide", while still continuing as Marshals in a different area yet things don't go so smoothly over there and not only because it's too hot to breath and the new boss is obnoxious.Dr. Hartley is truly a sick sonofa%*#&. Wasn't easy to read of his interaction with Miro. Broke my heart. But in a way, in the end, it didn't just made Miro stronger it also brought Miro and Ian to an understanding they didn't share before. This time Miro finds the words to articulate to Ian what he needs from him and why and for the first time Ian realized exactly what being with Miro is all about and so he can get his priorities straight. As was in the previous installment we have many little instances of Miro and Ian's work, some made the reading a bit confusing with A LOT of minor characters being introduced to us and some that made this book sweet and special because Miro is all heart even if he looks the tough guy and though Ian isn't the nicest guy out there he IS a good guy who knows who he is working to help save.I really enjoyed this one, especially the change in dynamics between the two. I'm not a fan of BDSM usually and as the first book made it SEEM like we're getting into a D/s sort of a relationship in this one things start to shift and change. I found it wonderful that both men could and would change places for each other because though they are both the kind who want and need to be in control, they also want sometimes to be able to give it away and the only one they feel RIGHT doing that with is with each other.Off to read the next one :)Tags: Romantic Suspense (MM)More @ Ultra Meital Reviews.
